In a strategic acquisition, Weathervane secured two adjacent sites at the prominent intersection of Oak Street and 49th Avenue in Vancouver. Positioned along the next phase of the City of Vancouver’s ambitious Cambie Corridor Plan, this prime location is slated for an approximately 12-storey mixed-use building, boasting modern design and urban appeal.

The proposed development, encompassing an estimated 100,000 square feet, will represent a new dynamic and versatile community hub for the area. Current plans include two floors of commercial space, providing opportunities for retail, dining or professional services, beneath ten floors of contemporary residential rental units. This mixed-use development plan will strengthen community dynamism and diversity, enhancing convenience and livability.

Design and planning are underway, with the project scheduled to break ground in 2025, pending formal approvals. With its central location, proximity to major transit routes, and alignment with Vancouver’s forward-looking urban planning initiatives, this project exemplifies our commitment to creating high-quality, sustainable developments that contribute to positive strides for communities.
